Second Gentleman postpones Georgia event scheduled for Monday
NORCROSS, Ga. - Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff has postponed his trip to Georgia on Monday, according to the White House. Emhoff was scheduled to travel to host a roundtable discussion in Norcross on July 15 to launch AANHPIs for Biden-Harris, a national organization that mobilizes Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander voters.
Marburger Farm Antique Show arrives in Atlanta this week
ATLANTA - The renowned Marburger Farm Antique Show, a favorite among interior designers, collectors, and culture enthusiasts since 1997, is set to host its first event outside of Round Top, Texas. From July 17-20, the show will take place at the historic Philip Shutze-designed Southern Exchange Ballrooms in downtown Atlanta. Spanning 35,000 square feet, the event will feature 60 dealers and is free and open to the public.

ATLANTA — Derrick Hayes, the owner of Big Dave's Cheesesteaks, says he will not reopen his flagship restaurant after the Atlanta water crisis. The flagship restaurant is located in Downtown Atlanta, off Forsyth Street NW. Big Dave's Cheesesteaks was founded by West Philadelphia native Derrick Hayes, who named the restaurant chain after his late father. Hayes opened the first location in a 700-square-foot Shell gas station in Dunwoody, Georgia.

Atlanta Hawks rookie Nikola Djurisic sustained a left foot fracture on Sunday during a loss to the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas, Nevada. Djurisic suffered the injury in the first quarter after logging 6 minutes, 30 seconds of game time. He checked out of the game and went back to the locker room for examination. He wouldn’t return and later was seen on the bench in a walking boot.
