Mayor Dan’s Summer Camp Debuts Next Week
Seneca will debut Mayor Dan’s Summer Camp from July 22-26, running daily from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Shaver Recreation Complex. Organized by Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander and led by Police Chief Casey Bowling, the camp offers sports, arts, and other activities for up to 200 registered children, with a $10 fee including lunch. Activities include flag football, basketball, soccer, kickball, arts and crafts, and special days like City Operations and Water Day with water slides. Mayor Dan will host leadership talks, aiming to engage and educate youngsters about city operations.
Delegate Pat Murray from Oconee County
An Oconee woman is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this morning for the start of the four-day Republican National Convention. Serving as a delegate from Oconee is Pat Murray, the leader of the county GOP Women’s Club. Among those taking part in the convention there’s relief that former President Trump survived an assassination attempt but dismay that such a thing could happen.
