BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — Gov. Kathy Hochul announced free admission to New York State Park pools this summer as a part of her “Get Offline, Get Outside” campaign to promote healthy living.

New Yorkers will not have to pay an entry fee to get into Fort Niagara State Park Pool in Youngstown or Letchworth State Park Pool in Castile, among other NYS park pools . In addition, free sunscreen from a pilot program initiated by Hochul will be provided.

“We’re making it easier for our young people to put down their phones and computers, enjoy time with friends and family, and stay active all across our state,” Hochul said. “Summer is here — get offline and get outside.”

    Regular parking fees still apply.
