Fire Investigator Charles Hodge said Tuesday that the June 15 blaze in the 300 block of East Auburndale is not considered suspicious and is most likely accidental.

The flames, which broke out just before 5 p.m., started on the front porch of a home and quickly spread to two adjoining homes.

The home where the fire started and a home to the right of it were engulfed in flames and destroyed. A home to the left received heavy damage to its side but firefighters were able to save it.

All three homes were occupied. No one was injured.

The fire was so large that a second alarm had to be put in for extra manpower.
