YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said a man who led police on a chase on his motorcycle to an East Side cemetery Tuesday was booked into the Mahoning County jail.

Eshaun Lambert, 31, was booked into the Mahoning County jail on charges of failure to comply with the order or signal of a police officer, a third-degree felony; resisting arrest, a second-degree misdemeanor; and a warrant from Pennsylvania.

Reports said Lambert was the driver of a motorcycle police tried to pull over about 6:40 p.m. at West LaClede and Hudson avenues for no registration but instead of stopping, Lambert did several wheelies before accelerating away from police.

Officers chased the motorcycle but when speeds reached about 80 miles per hour, they backed off and a helicopter from the Ohio State Highway Patrol tracked it, reports said.

The motorcycle continued to a cemetery on Liberty Street on the far East Side and drove over tombstones before slowing down, reports said.

Police were able to chase the motorcycle on foot because it had slowed down, but Lambert refused to abandon it until he was shot with a stun weapon, reports said.

It was discovered during the arrest that Lambert also had a warrant out of Pennsylvania for drug possession.
