The explosion happened around 11 p.m. on the Fourth, causing damage to homes on Budd Street, according to a police report.

One caller told police that the explosion caused a picture frame to fall from the wall of her home and break. Other neighbors, as well as a business, reported damage to their windows.

Several witnesses pointed investigators to a suspect, who one said was seen shooting into a bag that contained what the witness believed to contain Tannerite as well as fireworks.

Police spoke to the wife of the suspect, who denied that the explosion came from their house. She also denied that they shoot firearms at the property, though police noted they had various targets on the ground in the yard.

Police also noted in their report that debris from fireworks was found in the yard, as well as several large mud holes and a fire pit filled with boxes and several burnt nails.

Charges have not yet been filed.
