Patricia Foster, 34, and William Profanchik, 35, were both booked into the Mahoning County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Wednesday in municipal court.

The charge is a second-degree felony.

Police were called about 6:35 p.m. for a report of a fight on Chaney Circle, and when they arrived, they found a large crowd in a yard fighting. Witnesses told police that Profanchik and Foster had attacked three people with baseball bats and hit them in the head and body.

Reports said Foster and Profanchik told police they were in their vehicle with three children when they noticed an SUV that was outside their home earlier in the day at a home on Chaney Circle, so they got out of their vehicle to talk to whoever owned the SUV and an argument broke out.

The victims told police the couple got out of their vehicle wielding baseball bats and started attacking them, all while the three children were inside their vehicle.

The children were handed over to a relative. Reports did not mention if anyone required medical attention.
