City police have still not been able to close the case of Clint Wright, 42, who was found shot and killed June 4, 2001, inside a business in the double-digit block of Kenmore Avenue.

Wright’s death was one of 34 homicides in 2001. Of those homicides, 18 of them were unsolved.

A worker at the business told police they found Wright shot to death about noon. When police arrived, they found Wright sitting on a couch on the second floor with a gunshot wound to the head.

Another employee told police they left the business at 9 p.m. the night before, and when they came back, a piece of plexiglass was pushed aside and some mesh was pushed out of a window, giving someone access to the office and door.

Incident reports do not reveal if police had any suspects or much other information.

Reports said Wright was a janitor at the business.

Anyone with information on Wright’s death can contact the Detective Division at 330-742-8911 or CrimeStoppers Youngstown at 330-746-CLUE.
