YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — The Youngstown Business Incubator hosted the Inspiring Minds youth marketplace on Friday.

The event showcased scholars and supported young entrepreneurs. Each student presented a business plan and product in individual booths, and students were selling items from artwork to lemonade to clothing.

Not only were the students able to show off their work. they were able to get real-world experience.

“They’re learning time management, they’re learning how to pitch themselves, they’re learning how to talk and speak in public, they’re learning how to basically sell their product,” Program Coordinator Tammye Hardin said.

By making the event open to the public they were able to unite residents, scholars and business leaders.
