OAKHURST, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Yosemite Unified School District announced the cancelation of all school classes for Thursday due to weather, according to the district.

Officials with the district say all school schedules are set to resume on Friday.

Residents report snow falling in these areas in Madera Co.

Schools within Yosemite Unified School District include Coarsegold Elementary School, Rivergold Elementary School and Yosemite High School. Around 1,400 TK-12 students will be impacted by the closure.

The cancelation of all schools follows a previous announcement Wednesday evening that schools would be operating on a delay. That delay has since been switched to a full cancellation of classes.

Snow was seen falling in many areas of Madera County on Wednesday , including Coarsegold, Bass Lake and the areas around Chukchansi Gold Resort and Casino.
