FARMERSVILLE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Los Arroyos hosted a grand opening on April 4 to commemorate its introduction as Farmersville’s first affordable housing community.

Since 1964 Self-Help Enterprises (SHE) has aimed to help communities improve their living conditions, starting with their community in Goshen.

This is the new affordable housing project in Tulare

According to SHE, Los Arroyos features one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom units to fit a variety of households and their needs. SHE also says the complex includes a playground, plenty of outdoor open spaces, and a 3,000-square-foot community center with a kitchen space and computer lab.

SHE says the project was designed with sustainability features, including solar panels, water conservation, and a greywater recycling system to help keep utility bills for residents and the property low.

Los Arroyos is said to offer affordable rents between approximately $458 and $1,056 per month, depending on the unit size and income. The new developments are located at 135 E. Walnut Avenue in Farmersville.
