    IDENTIFIED: Man dead after apparent Husky attack in Fresno County

    FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The man who died after apparently being attacked by a Husky in July has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner’s Office on Tuesday night.

    The Coroner’s Office identified the man as 49-year-old Ivon Rocher Garces of Fresno.

    According to deputies, on July 4 around 5 a.m., a person reported hearing screams coming from an orchard near the intersection of North and Peach Avenues in Fresno.

    Sheriff’s officials say they contacted an injured unhoused person, later identified as Ivon Garces, who said they were just attacked by a Husky-type of dog.

    Deputies and EMS personnel responded to the scene and got Garces transported to the hospital, however, the Sheriff’s Office said Garces passed away due to a significant loss of blood.

    Now, staff at the Coroner’s Office is requesting the public’s help to find Garces’ relatives. They have searched numerous personal records, but their attempts to find relatives have been unsuccessful.
