    Man riding bike in Fresno struck by hit-and-run driver, police say

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 30-year-old man was struck by a hit-and-run driver while riding his bike Thursday night, according to the Fresno Police Department.

    Police say the man was riding his bike eastbound on Cesar Chavez Boulevard approaching Peach Avenue and was struck by a vehicle that turned in front of him. The vehicle then fled the area.

    Investigators say a concerned citizen followed the vehicle and provided its location to officers. The officers located the car however not the driver.

    The bicyclist had a complaint of pain to his hip. He was transported to a local hospital and is in stable condition, according to police.
