FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 30-year-old man died after he was hit by an alleged DUI driver and a hit-and-run driver around midnight in central Fresno Friday, according to the Fresno Police Department.

Officers say they responded to a vehicle versus pedestrian at Belmont and Mariposa avenues.

According to police, the driver of a Recreational Vehicle was traveling westbound on Belmont Avenue when the pedestrian stepped out into the roadway and was struck.

Investigators say a second vehicle, possibly a sedan, also struck the pedestrian and fled the scene.

Officers say they are investigating a possible DUI investigation on the driver of the RV and a possible hit-and-run investigation on the driver of the sedan.

If you have any information contact the Fresno Police Department at (559) 621-7000.
