FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Looking for a pet? No Poké Balls or Master Balls needed, Valley Animal Center is hosting its 17th annual super adoption event, and this year’s theme is “Pokémon Paradise.”

Regardless of whether you prefer a Litten or Rockruff, the no-kill shelter says the event promises to have a diverse selection of lovable pets thanks to participation from 11 other local shelters and rescues.

“Our Pokémon-Themed Super Adoption is going to be an incredible day,” says Valley Animal Center’s content creator, Juan Guitron.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact by helping our dogs and cats find their forever homes.”

Valley Animal Center says attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite Pokémon character. The super adoption will take place on Aug. 24 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 3934 N Hayston Ave.
