Fresno is the best city for working women, study says

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Fresno is one of the top 10 cities in California for women in the workforce, according to a new study done by Checkr.

Checkr, according to their website , is a company that is on a mission to build a fairer future and to make background checks with technology and built-in fairness.

According to Checkr, California’s labor market is the largest in the United States.

The company says that in order to look at the cities that were on top for working women, they looked at five key metrics.

The metrics that were analyzed are down below:

• Number of women in the workforce in California
• Women in management positions in California
• Women’s salaries in California
• Wage gap between women and men in California
• Women’s unemployment rate in California

The study highlighted key factors that contributed to a supportive and equitable work environment for women.

According to Checkr, Fresno ranked number one overall and showcased the second-best total workforce growth among 10 cities and also ranked highly for median income growth among women workers.

Fresno also ranked second with regard to the growth of women in management positions.
