FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Snow in Fresno County is a possibility this weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Hanford .

CBS47’s Pinpoint Weather Forecast shows that temperatures will cool to almost 20 degrees by Friday. This cool-down is going to affect the entire region, dropping overnight temperatures in the Sierra to below-freezing.

The cold combined with the incoming precipitation predicted for the mountains from Friday evening into Saturday is going to make conditions just right for light snow to fall.

The National Weather Service says snow levels can be expected around 8,000 feet in the Sierra Nevada from Yosemite to Fresno County.
