FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Two men are dead in Fresno County after a crash involving a tanker truck and a dune buggy, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP says the crash happened around 1 a.m. near Belmont and Westlawn avenues in Fresno County.

Man arrested after pursuit in stolen SUV in Hanford, police say

Officers say a driver in the truck was traveling east on Belmont Avenue when they hit a dune buggy.

CHP says the driver of that dune buggy ran a stop sign while heading south on Westlawn Avenue.

The dune buggy was dragged roughly 100 yards down the road. The two men inside died.

The driver of the truck was not injured.
