Fire breaks out near Del Rey, destroys multiple structures

FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A fire broke out near the town of Del Rey overnight, destroying multiple travel trailers and cars, Fresno County Fire announced early Thursday morning.

Officials say eight engines responded to the fire, including Fresno County Engine 71 and Fresno County Engine 82, who were the first to arrive to the scene.

According to the Cal Fire, the blaze on the east 12000 block of Jefferson Ave. was contained before it spread to the main residence on the property. No injuries were reported.

Fresno County Fires say the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
