    Suspect out of jail after alleged DUI crash that killed Clovis motorcyclist

    CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The woman suspected of driving under the influence and causing the crash that killed a motorcyclist in Clovis on Wednesday was released from jail less than 24 hours after the deadly collision, jail records show.

    The Clovis Police Department says at around 11 a.m. a motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Barstow Avenue when 57-year-old Tammera Pittman who was driving an SUV pulled out in front of the motorcycle and collided with it.

    The driver of the motorcycle was killed in the crash. He has since been identified as 37-year-old Josh Cowdrey of Clovis.

    According to information from the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office (which manages the jail), Pittman was booked into jail on Wednesday around 4:15 p.m. and was released on Thursday at 12:45 a.m. on bail. Her bail amount was $137,000 and she put up a bond of $13,700 to be released.

    The Clovis Police Department says Pittman was arrested on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter and multiple felonies in relation to the DUI crash. She is set to make her first appearance in court in connection with this incident on Sept. 12.

    If not mistaken Pitman name has long money in different things like farming she won't see jail time sorry Valley folk.
