    Coming 2025: New walking trail in Fresno, councilmember says

    FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The last acquisition of land needed to build a new multi-purpose trail has been approved by the City of Fresno, District 3 Councilmember Miguel Arias announced on Thursday.

    According to Arias, the new trail will run along Fanning Ditch between West Avenue and Thorne Avenue in Fresno. The walkway is expected to be completed by the summer of 2025.

    Arias says the trail is part of the “Southwest Fresno Green Trails & Cycle Path Project” and will include 102 new trees and street lighting.
