TULARE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man has been arrested in Tulare for allegedly stealing an agriculture fertilizer trailer on Thursday, according to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office says on Thursday, Aug. 29, deputies were called to the area of Avenue 112 and Road 104 near Pixley for a report of a stolen agriculture fertilizer trailer.

According to deputies, the fertilizer tank was found nearby and the trailer was recovered at a vacant home on Cartmill Avenue in Tulare.

The sheriff’s office agriculture detectives took over the investigation and learned a red Dodge pickup was used to steal the trailer.

Detectives say they identified the suspect as 32-year-old Aldo Mejia of Tulare as the suspect.

During the investigation, detectives tracked Mejia down in the red Dodge pickup truck and pulled him over in Tulare. He was arrested for allegedly stealing the trailer.
