    Over 100 people cited in Visalia, CHP says

    VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Officers cited over 100 people in Visalia over the Labor Day weekend, according to the California Highway Patrol.

    Officials say Visalia Area CHP was out in full force over the holiday weekend as part of the Maximum Enforcement Period.

    As a result of the operation, officers say a total of 121 citations were issued.

    According to CHP, 14 drivers were arrested for DUI and 62 drivers received speeding tickets.

    Officers say they focused on stopping impaired, distracted, and reckless drivers to keep the roads safe.
