Pet fees temporarily waived at this animal shelter in Atwater

ATWATER, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – As part of the “Clear the Shelters” campaign in Merced County, the sheriff’s animal services shelter in Atwater is offering to waive adoption fees – but only for a limited time.

According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Animal Services Bureau, all adoption fees will be waived at the Merced County Sheriff’s Animal Services shelter located at 2150 Shuttle Drive in Atwater.

However, officials say this offer is for a limited time – adoption fees will be waived only on Sept. 6 and Sept. 7. Future pet owners can visit the shelter on Sept. 6 from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. or on Sept. 7, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Officials also say every adoption comes with a special goody bag provided by the campaign. For more information about the campaign, visit the Clear The Shelters website.
