Firefighters battle alleyway fire in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – There was a fire in an alleyway behind a home in Fresno on Thursday, the Fresno Fire Department said.

Crews responded to an outside fire in the alleyway behind a home in Fresno around 11 a.m. on Thursday.

Upon arrival, fire officials say Engine 4 requested additional resources after it was reported that the fire had extended to an outbuilding, threatening structures.

Firefighters were able to contain the fire before they say it could spread to nearby homes, preventing further damage. No injuries were reported.
