    Man arrested in Lindsay homicide had fled to Mexico, police say

    LINDSAY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 48-year-old man was arrested while returning from Mexico following the death of a man in Lindsay, according to the city’s police department.

    Police say on Tuesday, May 21, at around 9:40 p.m. officers with the Lindsay Department responded to suspicious circumstances at a home in the 300 block of E. Samoa. Officers reported finding a man dead inside. No one else was inside the home at the time.

    The man was later identified by officials as Eliseo Jose Briseno.

    48-year-old Jose Eleazar Navarro

    Police say on Aug. 27 around 9:30 p.m., Jose Eleazar Navarro was taken into custody for the alleged homicide. Navarro was located and arrested returning to the United States after fleeing to Mexico. Navarro is currently being housed in a Tulare County jail facility.
