Body found at reservoir in Merced County, deputies say

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A body was found at Merced County’s San Luis Reservoir near Santa Nella, Merced County deputies say.

According to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office, the California Department of Fish and Wildlife located the body near the O’Neill Forebay on Friday.

Merced County deputies say they were requested to investigate the incident and resulting death by California State Parks. The Sheriff’s Office is currently in the beginning stages of its investigation, but updates will be provided as they become available.
