(KRON) – It’s been yet another weekend of sideshows in the Bay Area.

Around 100 vehicles gathered on the Bay Bridge to participate in a dangerous sideshow, according to the California Highway Patrol. CHP said the sideshow occurred around 3:30 a.m. on westbound Interstate 80, east of Treasure Island.

A video of the sideshow displays a red truck hitting a person while spinning in circles. Multiple spectators were seen standing on their cars.

As police arrived at the sideshow, the crowd dispersed, according to CHP.

San Pablo Police Department was notified of a possible sideshow near El Portal Drive and I-80 at 1:26 a.m. on Sunday.

Video footage of the sideshow displays spectators blocking the intersection. Some participators can be seen climbing freeway signage. Others were standing on a box truck that was stuck in traffic.

SPPD said the vehicles fled upon the officers’ arrival around 1:30 a.m.

This is an ongoing story. Stay tuned with KRON4 for updates.

Truck most likely is stolen. But no arrests? How hard is that to block both ways on bridge, and impound and arrest people?
