HANFORD, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A teenager was arrested and two suspects are at large after an armed robbery in a Hanford park, the Hanford Police Department announced Monday.

On Sept. 1 around 10:20 p.m., police say a victim was in a local park when they were confronted by three male suspects.

Investigators report one of the suspects brandished a firearm and stole the victim’s crossbody bag and iPhone.

Following an investigation by the department’s Street Crime Unit (SCU), detectives say a 17-year-old was identified as the suspect who pointed the gun and took their belongings. The teen was taken into custody and a search warrant was served at his home in Armona.

Police say the two other suspects involved in the robbery remain at large.

Anyone with any information regarding this case is asked to contact the Hanford Police Department’s SCU at 559-585-4724.
