FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) –  The City of Fresno Recycling Program announced Monday they will host a paper shredding event for residents to bring their papers to be destroyed.

The paper shredding event is on Saturday, October 5, at the Municipal Service Center on 1325 E. El Dorado Street. The event will be from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. or until the shred vehicles are filled according to the city.

City staff will be present to assist in the removal of boxes from vehicles and be available to answer any recycling questions. City of Fresno residents may bring up to three banker boxes (approximately 12”x15”x10”) of personal documents to be shredded.

The city is asking there be no binders, binder clips, ledgers, and no other heavy metal objects, or plastics inside the boxes. Boxes that contain materials other than paper will not be accepted.
