FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Over 1,000 customers in western Fresno were left without power following an outage on Monday, according to Pacific Gas and Electric.

The power outage was reported by the utility company around 5:30 p.m. and immediately affected over 1,100 customers west of N Brawley Ave. in Fresno.

The energy provider says they expect to restore power to all customers by 8:45 p.m. on Monday. Residents can receive updates by entering their address online at the virtual PG&E Outage Center .

The cause of the outage is unknown, but PG&E says they are evaluating the electrical system to identify damaged sections and make necessary repairs.
