Man drowns in home pool in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man is dead after drowning in a home pool in Fresno on Monday night, the Fresno Police Department said.

Officers say they responded to an accidental drowning on Monday around 6:30 p.m. in the 4600 block of E. Peralta in Fresno.

Police say a man in his mid-30s was underwater for several minutes in the backyard pool. Family members removed him from the pool and he was transported to a local hospital.

Despite life-saving measures, investigators say the man was pronounced deceased. Police say foul play is not suspected in this case.

The identity of the man has not been released.
