16-year-old motorcyclist dead after crash in Fresno

FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A juvenile motorcyclist is dead after a crash in Fresno on Tuesday afternoon, the Fresno Police Department said.

Police say they responded to the area of Tulare and Fowler avenues in Fresno around 4 p.m. for a traffic collision involving a motorcyclist and a vehicle.

Upon arrival, officers say they found the motorcyclist rider, a 16-year-old boy, lying on the road. He was transported to a local hospital, but despite life-saving measures, he ended up succumbing to his injuries.

According to investigators, the driver of the other vehicle involved in this collision stayed on the scene.

The name of the teenager killed was officially released on Wednesday .

This is an ongoing investigation.
