    Dog lost in Visalia house fire

    VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A family lost their pet after a fire ignited in a Visalia home Saturday evening, the Visalia Fire Department announced.

    Firefighters say just after 8 p.m. they responded to a fire reported on the Santa Fe Trail.

    Upon arrival, crews reported a fire originating from a home in the 400 block of East Parker Street.

    Visalia Fire says all residents were safely evacuated but a pet dog tragically died in the fire.

    There is no information regarding the extent of damage to the house or trail.

    The cause of the fire is under investigation.
