    Stolen vehicle leads to arrests of 3 in Porterville

    PORTERVILLE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The Porterville Police Department says they arrested three people after a stolen car was spotted loading items into the vehicle at a home.

    Police say on Sunday at 9:40 a.m. officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Indiana Street regarding the location after a stolen vehicle that was observed at the house by the victim.  The victim said they observed the three people inside the garage loading items into the vehicle, identified by police as Abel Arroyo, Celina Boelter, and Gerardo Lucio.

    The victim said the stolen vehicle had been partially spray-painted white. Officers say they contacted and arrested Boelter, Arroyo, and Lucio at the home.

    Police say Arroyo was found to be in possession of a methamphetamine pipe. Lucio was found to have three active misdemeanor warrants. During the investigation, it was also determined the vehicle was equipped with an unreported stolen license plate from another vehicle.

    According to police Boelter was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle. Investigators say she was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility where she is being held in lieu of 25,000.00 bail.

    Lucio was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle, along with his three active misdemeanor warrants. Police say he was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility where he is being held in lieu of $100,000 bail.

    Arroyo was arrested on suspicion of possession of a stolen vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia. Officials say he was booked into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office South County Detention Facility where he is being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.
