TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A vehicle was engulfed in flames, and part of Highway 99 in Tulare County was shut down after a crash on Tuesday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

CHP says they were on Highway 99 northbound at Avenue 200 in Tulare County investigating a crash involving a pickup truck and a semi-truck on Tuesday night.

Officers say the pickup truck was fully engulfed in flames, and the Avenue 200 onramp had to be shut down around 8 p.m. Just before 8:30 p.m., officers announced all lanes were back open.

The status of the parties involved in the crash is unknown at this time. This is an ongoing investigation and more information will be provided as it becomes available.
