VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A family in Visalia is asking for the public’s help after losing their home and their dog after a possible arson, according to a GoFundMe fundraiser.

The Visalia Fire Department says the blaze broke out on the 400 block of East Parker St. on Sunday evening.

According to firefighters, everyone in the family, except one of the dogs, made it out alive.

In addition to losing their pet and their home, the family says they lost all of their belongings, and are asking for the public’s help to raise funds for housing, food, clothing, and other expenses.

“We are seeking any help, whether it is through donations, prayers, or even kind words; anything will be greatly appreciated,” the GoFundMe reads. “Any money raised will be put towards housing, food, clothing, necessities, and replacing everything we have lost.”

Those wanting to donate can visit the family’s GoFundMe page .
