OROSI, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 13-year-old boy was arrested after making threats to shoot up a middle school in Orosi, deputies say.

According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to El Monte Middle School just before 4 p.m. on Wednesday to respond to the threat.

This is at least the fourth juvenile arrested on Wednesday for threatening a Tulare County school.

3 juveniles arrested for gun threats against Porterville schools

Although deputies say the boy had no weapons available to carry out the shooting, he was arrested on suspicion of making criminal threats toward the school.

Sheriff Boudreaux wants parents to take this opportunity to talk to their children about the ramifications of making threats.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office at 459-733-6218.
