FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The second African elephant calf born at Fresno Chaffee Zoo has been officially named following a public competition .

The male calf was born on August 26 , just over a week after the first baby elephant was born to the zoo’s other African elephant mom on August 16. The first baby elephant born was named “Thando” and the name of the second baby elephant was put up for a public vote.
