IDENTIFIED: Man found in Fresno County yard

PARLIER, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE )- A suspicious death on Friday has since been ruled a homicide, and the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help to solve the crime.

A man was found in a Fresno County yard Friday morning around 6:30 a.m. in the 7400 block of South Zediker Avenue, just south of Adams Avenue.

A person living at a home in the area reported seeing what they thought was an injured man lying in a yard. When first responders arrived, it was determined that the man was dead.

Homicide detectives, the Crime Scene Unit, and a deputy coroner say 63-year-old Silvino Serrano had injuries that led them to believe he was a victim of homicide. Additionally, they learned that he lived at the property.

The sheriff’s office says its detectives would like to hear from anyone who recently saw or spoke with Serrano.
