ORANGE COVE, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A new park in Fresno County is set to be open to the public on Thursday.

City officials say Sheridan Park will feature a brand-new playground set, with multiple slides, monkey bars, climbing areas and more.

The city has organized a ribbon cutting for the new park located near 2nd and D streets on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 10 a.m.

Residents will have the opportunity to enjoy the playground and meet with their neighbors and city officials.

Pictures of the park show the structure has a cover above it to protect those playing beneath it from receiving too much sun while enjoying the park.
