Smell smoke in Tulare County? This might be why

TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Residents near Goshen may experience smoke for a couple of days due to a large burning mulch pile, the Tulare County Fire Department says.

According to crews, firefighters responded to the mulch pile on the west side of Highway 99 around 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday.

Fire personnel say there is no threat to any structures and the pile is currently being spread and monitored by workers.

Crews say the pile will continue to smolder and smoke over the next couple of days, so residents and passersby in the area need not be alarmed if they see or smell the smoke.

It seems these people always have far too many issues with fire in their mulch piles - they obviously aren’t managing them properly. Fire crews tell us not to worry about them while we breathe all of this smoke however. This company needs to be investigated and possibly fined for negligence -
