    Child trapped in Orosi house fire rescued by deputy

    OROSI, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A child trapped by flames in their Orosi home was saved by a Tulare County deputy on Tuesday afternoon.

    According to the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were called to the 14000 block of Florida Ave. for a house fire just before 4:30 p.m.

    Inside, a 12-year-old child with Down syndrome was trapped.

    Deputies ran into the burning home to search for the child. One deputy ran back into the home three times before eventually finding the child in a back bedroom.

    The child, his brother, and the deputy were taken to local hospitals to be treated for smoke inhalation. All three are expected to be okay.
