Suspicious person in Visalia arrested with rifles, ammo, and narcotics

VISALIA, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 22-year-old man was arrested after police say that they discovered two rifles, extended magazines, ammunition, and narcotics.

According to the Visalia Police Department, around 8:45 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to reports of a suspicious person near Chinowth Street and Judy Avenue.

Officers say they contacted Julian Demetrio Gutierrez. Police say they found Gutierrez with two large bags, one of which contained a visible rifle.

After officers detained Gutierrez they allegedly discovered the two rifles, extended magazines, ammunition, and narcotics.

Gutierrez was arrested and booked at the Tulare County Adult Pre-Trial Facility, according to police.
