SEQUOIA NATIONAL PARK, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – The last remaining evacuation warning due to the Coffee Pot Fire was lifted on Wednesday, the Tulare County Fire Department said.

According to fire personnel, Zone TLC-E095, which includes Mineral King Road, the area east of the National Park boundary, Cabin Cove, Silver City, and Mineral King, is no longer under evacuation warning.

Zone TLC-E095 was the last remaining zone under warning due to the Coffee Pot Fire which started after lightning struck on Aug. 3 and began to exponentially increase in size a week later after a burning tree within the perimeter fell and rolled over the containment line.

Although all evacuation warnings have been lifted, residents are asked to stay out of the scorched areas as the Coffee Pot Fire is still burning and crews may still be working.
