    ‘Standout track athlete’ and 2019 graduate from Clovis Unified dies

    CLOVIS, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Former track and field athlete and 2019 graduate from Clovis Unified’s Buchanan High School Shelby Daniele has died.

    In a social media post by Buchanan High School’s track and field on Thursday, Shelby Daniele was described as a “standout track athlete” who went on to both study at Cal Poly and continue her athletic career.

    “This loss leaves a gigantic hole in so many hearts, and we will never forget the amazing woman that Shelby was,” posted Buchanan Track and Field on social media.

    Daniele attended Cal Poly after graduating from Buchanan High School in 2019.

    She will be remembered by her teammates and coaches as an even more amazing person.

    Shelby Daniele’s cause of death has not been officially released.
