FRESNO, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – An arson suspect is wanted in Fresno after allegedly lighting up several trash cans, the Fresno Fire Department said.

Fire officials are asking for the community’s help in identifying a man suspected of committing arson. They say between 2 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, several city-owned trash cans were set on fire in the Downtown area.

According to firefighters, video surveillance footage at one location captured the person depicted below setting a fire before walking away.

Anyone with information regarding this suspect is encouraged to contact 911 or, for those who would like to remain anonymous, contact the Fresno Fire Department ARSON hotline at 559-62-2767.
