LAS VEGAS ( KSEE/KGPE )– The Fresno State football team falls to (3-2, 1-1 MW) after a 59-14 loss to UNLV on Saturday at Allegiant Stadium. The ‘Dogs trailed 21-0 at halftime and couldn’t claw their way out of the deficit.

Three Fresno State quarterbacks saw action in Saturday’s loss. Mikey Keene threw for 316 yards with a touchdown and two interceptions. The junior QB also had two fumbles. Joshua Wood threw one pass, it was intercepted. Jayden Mandal threw one pass, it was also intercepted.

The Bulldogs couldn’t get much of a run game going either, the offense rushed for only 30 yards compared to UNLV’s 252 yards.

The Rebels got off to a hot start early and couldn’t be stopped. The Bulldogs tacked on a rushing touchdown by Malik Sherrod in the third quarter but still trailed 31-7.

Fresno State heads into its bye week at a good time, the ‘Dogs gave up the most points (59) since the 2015 season. Fresno State returns home on Oct. 12 to host Washington State at Valley Children’s Stadium.
