FRESNO COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – Residents of a rural area of northeast Fresno County are being warned about a pack of “aggressive dogs” on the loose, according to the Sheriff’s Office on Tuesday.

Deputies say residents living along Tollhouse Road, between Burrough Mountain Road and Shaver Springs Road, need to be aware of the dogs. The area subject to the warning is northeast of Tollhouse and southwest of Mountain Rest Fire Station.

The dogs have been described by the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office as Pitbull-mix dogs. Members of Fresno Humane Animal Services responded to the area and managed to capture two of the pack – but six others in the pack escaped. The dogs are said to be between 40 and 60 pounds – with black and brown markings.

Anyone who sees the dogs is asked to report them to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office at 559-600-3111.

Probably was dumped and it’s scared, thirsty and hungry. This will continue until these people are caught and prosecuted. All animals have feelings and you don’t know if they abused this animal or not. Praying someone can get it trapped and adopted. Very pretty dog possibly an Australia Shepherd. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🐾🐾😔

Sadly, these are probably dogs people abandoned without getting their neutered because they are hard to control. Irresponsible owners. I hope no one gets hurt.
