    19-year-old arrested after 16-year-old shot in Tulare County drive-by shooting, deputies say

    TULARE COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A 19-year-old was arrested after a 16-year-old was shot in the stomach over the weekend, the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office announced on Thursday.

    Deputies say they were called at around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday to the 3700 block of Avenue 236 in Tulare County. They were told that a 16-year-old boy was standing in front of a property after a party when a vehicle drove by and someone shot at him. The 16-year-old was shot in the stomach and was taken to the hospital.

    According to the Sheriff’s Office, 19-year-old Moses Gaona from Ivanhoe was arrested in connection with the shooting after walking into the Tulare County Sheriff’s Office headquarters.
